The Prospect is a one-bedroom accessory dwelling unit designed to maximize function in a compact footprint. It includes a full kitchen, bathroom, and open living area, all laid out for efficiency and usability.

Designed by StreamHome Construction in conjunction with Bucher Design, this model was created to simplify the building process. Its standardized layout helps reduce permitting delays and speeds up construction timelines, making it a practical solution for homeowners looking to add space quickly.

The Prospect is well-suited for rental income, guest accommodations, or multigenerational living. Its layout balances privacy with openness and fits most urban and suburban lot types.

We named it The Prospect for what it offers—clear potential to add value, flexibility, and livable space to your property with minimal complexity.

We’re excited to share that additional ADU models are in development, each designed to maximize efficiency, affordability, and streamlined construction.

Model 2 and Model 3 are being prepared in anticipation of the upcoming Colorado Springs ADU code change, which goes into effect June 1st. This change will allow detached ADUs in R-1 and other single-family zones, significantly expanding opportunities for homeowners across the city.

To meet rising demand, these pre-designed models are being developed to dramatically reduce design and permitting time. While custom ADUs often require 3–5 months of pre-construction approvals, our streamlined approach targets a 1–2 month turnaround to help you move forward faster.
